Enrolling in Coverage

Ready to enroll? Here’s what you need to do next to ensure you get the benefits coverage needed for you and your dependents.

  • Keep a lookout for enrollment information from your campus Human Resources office, including enrollment deadlines.
  • Enroll yourself and your eligible dependents within 31 days from your start date at the university through Workday. You enroll in all benefits through Workday.
  • Collect dependent eligibility verification documentation if you plan to cover a dependent and need to prove their eligibility.
  • Enroll in the 403(b) retirement plan through Workday. In addition to the Workday enrollment process, as a first time enrollee, you will also need to complete an online application through TIAA or Fidelity.
  • Consider your other benefit options, including a variety of disability, life insurance, and other voluntary offerings that can enhance your health care coverage elections.

Once you log in to Workday, access the Change Benefits for Life Events task in your inbox to begin the enrollment process. If you do not see this task in your inbox, please contact your campus Human Resources office. You may also visit the benefits website for detailed instructions on making your benefit elections, including information on how to enroll in voluntary benefits.
